I’m in a dilemma as to my next cosplay. I want to do Tyrannde Whisperwind, but it’s looking like that costume is going to be very difficult to make and it look nice. It would also call for me to do some wire working. I want to do it, but at the same time I don’t know that I have the ability to do it.
So now I’m going through all my favorite games, movies, animes, and animations to find another idea that would convince me to do something a little more to my current level that also suits my conservative levels of skin showing.
So far, these are the ideas:
1. Liara T’Soni

I know how to sculpt clay and make molds, but latex is something I’ve never worked with. I don’t know how difficult it would be, but I see it as more achievable for me than layered wire.
2. Tali’Zorah

I’d likely have to paint on the designs on the fabric, but a lot of what her armor is made up of, I have fabric that is fairly close to it. The visor would be the difficult part, with the helmet being second to that. Oh, and then there’s the lights…hmm…
I still think that’s easier to achieve than wire work…
3. Megara

I have the materials and the means to create her outfit. What I don’t have is the wig and the styling capabilities to make that wig awesome. I’d say it would be the easiest out of the ideas so far, but the wig… I’ve searched for a while for a wig that suits what I’m looking for in this cosplay, and I think in order to get it as thick as I want I’d have to do some crazy modifications that I don’t know how I’d go about pulling off.
I’m sure I’ll think of other ideas…for now this is all I’ve got.

3 would be awesome fun! Not that 1 and 2 wouldn’t. But 3. The fun you can have being mean to people.
